The Mukhyamantri Yuva Udyami Yojana (Bihar) is a flagship component of the broader Mukhyamantri Udyami Yojana designed to foster industrial growth and self-employment among the state's youth.
Objective
- To transform unemployed youth into independent entrepreneurs.
- To promote micro, small, and medium-scale industries within Bihar.
- To generate local employment opportunities and reduce migration for work.
- To remove financial barriers by providing collateral-free capital for starting new ventures.

Coverage
Up to 5 Lakhs Subsidy
The scheme provides a total financial package of up to ₹10 Lakh:
50% Grant (Subsidy): Up to ₹5 Lakh is provided as a non-repayable grant.
50% Loan: Up to ₹5 Lakh is provided as a loan.
Interest Rate: For general category youth, a nominal 1% simple interest is charged on the loan component.
Note: For Women, SC/ST, and EBC categories under the same umbrella scheme, the loan is interest-free.
Repayment: The loan is repayable in 84 monthly installments after a one-year moratorium period.
Training Allowance: Selected applicants receive an additional ₹25,000 for mandatory training and project monitoring.
Eligibility
Residency: Must be a permanent resident of Bihar.
Age: Between 18 and 50 years.
Education: Minimum qualification of Class 12 (Intermediate), ITI, Polytechnic Diploma, or an equivalent degree.
Business Type: The venture must be a new manufacturing or service-based unit established as a proprietorship, partnership, LLP, or private limited company.
Exclusions: Individuals in government or contract jobs with a salary above ₹15,000/month or those already availing other state/central loan subsidy schemes (except PM SVANidhi) are generally ineligible.

- Aadhaar Card & PAN Card.
- Matriculation (Class 10) Certificate (as proof of date of birth).
- Intermediate (Class 12) or Equivalent Certificate.
- Permanent Residence (Domicile) Certificate.
- Caste Certificate (if applicable for specific category benefits).-
- Bank Details: Passbook copy or a cancelled cheque.
- Recent Photograph and Specimen Signature.
- UDID Card (only for Divyangjan/disabled applicants).
